Ant man and Wasp review

I recently went to Odeon and saw The new Marvel film Ant-man and the Wasp. This is my review.

Opinions:
I personally thought that the film was brilliant and better than the original. I think it was a perfect edition to the Marvel franchise. It was a nice and funny film to watch after the dreadful end of Infinity War. I thought that the characters were good as always and that the humour easily beat the first one which I didn't think it would be able to do. The castings were good choices and it was nice to see Michelle Pfeiffer in another superhero/villain role after her portrayle of Catwoman in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman film.

                                                                       Plot:
The film is directed by Peyton Reed who came back from directing the first Ant-Man.The main plot of the film is about the gang including Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) Hop Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) trying to rescue Hope's mum Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) from the quantum realm. This is a hard challenge as Scott is currently under house arrest following the events in Captain America Civil War. Among this adventure the group comes across a super powered girl called Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) who has the abilities to phase through walls. The other side characters such as Luis (Michale Pena) Bill Foster (Laurence Fishburne) and Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) are also really fun to watch interact with the main characters. The end credit scenes are also really good and are definitely worth waiting for.

Overall I think the plot is really good but as many films there are some small things that could be better such as giving Michelle Pfeiffer more screen time, or giving Sunny Burch (Walton Goggins) a bit more of a firmer background. He of a sudden shows up without having much of an introduction, and yes as many people, I would have loved to see Bill Foster become Goliath and fight/help Ant-Man like in the comics.
